Felin Sri Wahyuni Karya has more than 2 years of professional experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing, particularly in coastal ecosystem analysis and marine spatial planning. Her expertise includes mapping, spatial analysis, and geospatial data processing to support sustainable management of marine and coastal resources.
Over the course of her career, Felin has been involved in various participatory mapping projects, including the application process for Conformity Approval of Marine Spatial Utilization Activities (PKKPRL) and determination of Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures (OECM) areas in Indonesian waters. These engagements include spatial data collection, analysis, and modeling to ensure optimal management of marine space in accordance with conservation and sustainable use policies.
In addition, Felin also has experience in collecting and processing coastal ecological data, both through remote sensing methods and field surveys. Her experience in interpreting satellite images, analyzing shoreline changes, and mapping coastal ecosystems such as mangroves, coral reefs, and seagrass beds makes her a competent professional in the field of marine GIS.
Currently, Felin joined Ekologika Consultants as a GIS Analyst, where she is responsible for spatial analysis, mapping of ecologically important areas, and geospatial data processing to support various environmental studies. With her background and expertise, she continues to contribute to coastal resource planning and management and support data-driven conservation efforts in Indonesia.
